2.02.12 Lot 22 in Cameo's Vinyl and Music Memorabilia sale on February 7th should prove to be a highlight: The Doors - Jim Morrison. A yellow sheet of lined A4 paper with original handwritten part lyrics for the song La Women. this studio/gig copy was written & used by Morrison while recording their 1971 album La Women, written in blue pen with biro doodles to left side, initialled J.M./Doors then Morrison and titled La Women. Formally exhibited in the Hard Rock Cafe, New York, authenticated by Authenticateit with certificate, and estimated at £5,000 - £8,000. 'Two albums of textile designs and student work, patterns and samples relating to Bauhaus hand weaver Margaretha Reichardt, together approximately 130 pages, comprising numerous coloured design proofs, mounted specimens, thread and cloth samples, many on printed forms (in German) completed by hand, some initialled by Reichardt, two signed "Greta" dated 1928, loose in two cloth-backed portfolios, slightly rubbed, folio (385 x 235mm.),[1920s]. So when Queen Victoria's family portraits - sketched by herself - were leaked to a journalist, she sought an injunction. In one of the first cases of its kind, the furious monarch applied to the courts to stop publication of the drawings in the 1840s.
