Provisional 2012 Calendar. We are still waiting for a significant number of organisers
to confirm their 2012 dates, and lots of smaller one-off fair dates are often only confirmed nearer the time. However, if
you visit, or exhibit at a fair that you think should be listed here,
please contact us. As usual I will list all the late arrivals, here, in this news section.

Hamilton writes: New Year's Day, New
Forest Book Fair! Booksellers from Hampshire, Dorset, Sussex,
Surrey, etc. This "cusp" book fair is usually a pretty lively event,
and this year falls on Sunday. It is definitely Out with the Old and
in with the New .... my last fair as organiser as I hand both the
New Forest and Shaftesbury fairs to Georgina Babey; with very best
wishes to Georgina, our stallholders, and customers for 2012. Add

Goodyear has just sent us his Midhurst
Book, Postcard & Ephemera Fair dates, which start on February

13.12.11. Elisabeth Borg has confirmed that the 2012 NSPCC Annual Book Sale will be held on the 27th and 28th October. She also reports that the 2011 event was a great success, taking £26,200.00 over the 2 days - a record amont and well up on the year before ... more Add a comment

06.12.11. The ABA have just confirmed that The Chelsea Antiquarian Book Fair will be on 2nd and 3rd November 2012, and I've just added the Nottinghamshire Book Fair, and Petworth Society Book Sale dates. Add a comment

29.11.11. Kim Jeffery reports that many of the PBFA dealers who exhibited at the defunct Holiday Inn Fair have now confirmed regularly bookings at the Bloomsbury Book Fair. This means that customers will be able to find many of those familiar faces at the Royal National Hotel, on a monthly basis from 2012. Add a comment
28.11.11. Janet Slack's two fairs at Callington in Cornwall will be on May 26th and November 24th 2012. Add a comment
25.11.11. Steven Boyden is organising a new four-day fair at Pateley Bridge in Harrogate from April 6th - 9th. He has five independent booksellers signed up at the moment, with room for two more. Add a comment
24.11.11. So far, the most noticable absence in the 2012 listings is a regular PBFA fair in central London. Gone is the monthly London Holiday Inn Book Fair, and the PBFA 'fair within a fair' at the Alexandra Palace Antiques & Collectors Fair will not continue in 2012. However, one new fair has been added - Upton Book Fair in Upton Country Park, near Poole, on October 21st. Add a comment
