Long established shop which operates
on the 'buy cheap, sell cheap' principle. Good for pbk's and childrens
(downstairs), upstairs the non-fiction shelves a bit threadbare
but rarely anything more than a fiver. - Chris Mawson 01.10.08.

A new bookshop with a large general stock of secondhand and some
antiquarian books.
A long established cheap shop with a good turnover and frequent
sales. Very likeable staff. One of my very favourite shops for 24
years. - M.G. Conor.
I have now made three recent visits to this
shop and each time I find treasures hidden away. The two floors
are mainly secondhand but it is upstairs where the good stuff is
to be found. Pricing on the low side. If visiting take time for
a decent search. - Chris Harte 13.10.09.
I've been visiting this shop regularly since
1985 (so M.G.Conor and I must have started going there almost simultaneously)
and can only confirm the praise heaped on it by earlier reviewers.
I always find good things there. It's also attached to an independent
record shop with plenty of secondhand CDs etc. Letchworth hasn't
got much to recommend it - the early garden city houses are very
fine if you like that sort of thing, but David's is the jewel in
the crown of the town. - David Gouldstone 30.10.09 .

postcards and ordnance survey maps. David Ford Books has been trading
for over 20 years. Member of the PBFA.
Certainly worth a visit. Downstairs mostly
antiquarian maps, but also antiquarian topographical books that
I've never dared to look at properly because I know if I do I'll
be overcome by booklust and seduced into spending lots of money
that I haven't got. First floor has good selection of general books,
all excellent condition and reasonable prices; treasures to be found.
Second floor (up precipitous staircase, not for the faint-hearted)
nothing over £3, but certainly not the dross that this implies.

Eric T. Moore Books was established in 1965 and sells secondhand,
rare and antiquarian books, maps and prints. Housed in two converted
cottages, the shop contains approximately 35,000 books.
This shop needs a good three hours of
searching as there is so much good material around. The owner was
knowledgable which helped a lot as I put a number of queries to
him. Car parking spaces at the side of shop as it is situated by
a roundabout. A visit is recommended. - Chris Harte 13.10.09.
I've been visiting this shop since (I think)
1982. As already stated, its stock is very large, covering all imaginable
subjects, new mass market paperbacks to arcane antiquarian. Fair
prices, friendly staff. I can't recommend this shop highly enough.

One smallish room, so not a vast stock
and nothing outstandingly exciting, but good condition and very
reasonably priced; probably some bargains to be found. Owner extremely
affable. Worth a visit if you're in the area. - David Gouldstone

As previously stated just one room full
of books. Very general subjects with a few antiquarian. However,
even in a peaceful village there was a rampant traffic warden so
park carefully. - Chris Harte 13.10.09.
