19.11.17. Jon Morgan visited the Amnesty Blackheath's Book Sale on November 18th and writes: "As good as ever, albeit that we turned up an hour early! Winter sale starts at 10.00 hrs and the June one at 0900 hrs. Worth noting. That said at the bottom of the hill is a traditional Greasy Spoon called Maggy's and I have'nt had as good a cooked breakfast in ages.(or indeed at all!) When we got back with 20 minutes to go, there was a long queue outside and people had come with trollies, suitcases and boxes to cart away the loot. As the advert said. All stock was half price and new and recently published hardbacks and paperbacks abounded. An entire large Sainsbury's bag later ... The next sale in June 2018 (tbc) will be worth attending."  Add a comment
