After 19 years TheBookGuide has called it a day and ceased publication on March 31st

Readers comments - Roger Blake

Hi Folks, Letting you know that I am also hoping to do something to keep the guide alive. Unfortunately for some reason I am unable to access Facebook so can't add anything to Jon Morgan's Page at present:-(

However I have been downloading info from this site - have all the bookshops by location including comments, also Shelf Life - all years because that looked interesting info, and bookbinders, fairs and auctions - this years dates. I will try and save as much as I can while the site is available and hoping it may be archived at archive.org too.

My intention is to try and develop pages as part of another site I am developing currently parked at stoneleighlocalhistory.info - I intend to have some initial pages up in the next couple of weeks. If it goes well I will think about hosting it separately on IONOS - depends on what other people are doing and how we can all work together. I am happy to help other efforts to keep the site going, but my Facebook issue is a bit of a hindrance :-(

Finally I'd like to thank Mike for all he has done for us. This site has been a really great resource and Mike's various comments and posts have been a insightful and often amusing read. So Thank-you Mike - enjoy your retirement - although you might have picked a better time to start ! Keep Safe and Take Care Mike and everyone in these rather "interesting" times

All the Best Roger Blake 31.03.20.
